About Us

Launched: 2013 r.

Headquarters: Radom, Poland

Operations: Worldwide

Focus: Wheel flange lubrication of rail vehicles

About AW Solutions:

AW Solutions was launched in 2013 by Andrzej Wójtowicz, rail transport engineer and entrepreneur running business since 1991.

We have been introducing solid sticks for wheel flange lubrication of rail vehicles since 2013. On their basis, we have created a very efficient lubrication system for train operators and train manufacturers. Thanks to its advantages, our system gained recognition among the largest railway companies in Poland in a very short time.

Local success and vast international interest made us expand our operations globally. NSP-WFL solid lubricants are now being used by many train operators world wide.

Our team helps train operators around the world significantly increase fleet operational efficiency by using a dry, bio-based wheel flange lubrication system. Our system has helped many operators around the world solve wheel wear problems, reduce trains downtime, and increase service availability. Regardless of whether it is a new system installation, replacement of existing lubrication system or simply a change of existing solid lubricants, both maintenance and purchasing departments are always satisfied with the results.

If you would like to discover the most efficient flange lubrication system that will let you achieve an even higher level of transportation services, we are at your disposal.

Testimonials

SIEMENS Mobility Sp. z o.o.

“At the moment, the fleet of Siemens INSPIRO vehicles that is operating on the Warsaw Metro lines is equipped with NSP-WFL solid stick wheel flange lubrication system offered by AW Solutions.”

SIEMENS Mobility Sp. z o.o.

Rail Polska Sp. z o.o.

“After a two-year period of use, we observed a considerable (about 40%-50%) decrease in the pace of the wear of wheel flanges compared to locomotives not equipped with the lubrication system.”

Rail Polska Sp. z o.o.

WISKOL Sp. z o.o.

“We declare that, using solid stick wheel flange lubrication system [NSP-WFL] extended the longevity of wheel sets by nearly 50%.”

WISKOL Sp. z o.o.

Freightliner PL Spółka z o.o.

“We declare that [NSP-WFL] solid sticks can be successfully used for wheel flange lubrication in locomotives’ wheelsets, diminishing thereby their wear.”

Freightliner PL Spółka z o.o.

Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways

“We have been using […] 300mm long applicators with interlocking soy sticks […] for over a year and we have been very pleased with the results with a marked reduction in wheel flange wear where the applicators have been fitted. We will be extending their use over the next few years.”

Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways

DB Cargo Polska S.A.

“Performed observations revealed much lower consumption of the [NSP-WFL] sticks for lubricating the wheel flange as against to currently used. ”

DB Cargo Polska S.A.

DCT Gdańsk SA

“The applied layer of lubricant stays resistant to weather conditions and it is not removed from the metal surfaces after precipitations. The soybean oil-based sticks characterize themselves with lower wearing at steel wheels surfaces than the graphite sticks.“

DCT Gdańsk SA

Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd

“The consumption of [NSP-WFL] solid lubricants is 46.2 % lower compared to currently used”

Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd

JSC „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“

“Conclusions: the consumption of [competitive] solid lubricants is 2.6 times greater than [NSP-WFL].”

JSC „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“

PKP CARGO S.A.

“From above, it emerges that on locomotives subjected to observation, the wear of […] soy sticks was about 50% lower than of the competing provider.”

PKP CARGO S.A.

„PKP Intercity” Spółka Akcyjna

“In the following weeks, wear of the [NSP-WFL] sticks were already two times lower and amounted to approx. 15-20mm per week (10mm / 4300km).”

„PKP Intercity” Spółka Akcyjna

“Przewozy Regionalne” sp. z o.o.

“Performed operations have shown a few times lower consumption of the lubricant for wheel
flanges (about 20mm/10 000km) compared to the previously used.”
